Welcome to RateZit (ratezit.com). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring your customer feedback operations remain secure, transparent, and compliant. This policy describes how we collect, store, and safeguard your data.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimal data required to provide our reputation routing and feedback service:

• Business Owners: Business name, city, email address, password hash, and Google Maps listing URL.
• Customers / Clients: Star ratings, optional feedback notes, optional name, and optional phone number submitted voluntarily during resolution.
• Technical Metadata: Anonymized one-way cryptographic IP hashes to prevent spam and repeated submissions within cooldown periods. We do not store raw IP addresses.

3. How We Use Information

Customer feedback submitted through QR codes is displayed privately to the corresponding business management dashboard. High ratings are routed directly to Google Maps. We never sell, rent, or trade customer or business data to third-party advertisers.

4. Data Storage & Security

All traffic between your browser and RateZit is encrypted using TLS/SSL. Passwords are protected using salted bcrypt hashing. Access to internal databases is strictly restricted.
